First fruits

This is exciting…Our garden is producing the beginnings of fruits and vegetables.  I must admit the garden and I have a love/hate relationship.  Hubby is determined to have a weed free garden, which in theory is great, but the reality is that our tilled plot of land was some well-developed bermuda grass in it’s former life.  And now the grass has reincarnated into weeds from he–.  Hubby spends too much a lot of time out there.  Anyways, here’s the loving part of the garden, the promise of fresh homegrown fruits and veggies.  The spread includes:  okra, corn, carrots, different kinds of beans and peas, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, herbs, tomatoes galore, blueberries, blackberries, and apples (asparagus in years to come).
